Where is the Genovawheel located?
The Genovawheel is located in Calata Mandraccio, inside Genoa’s Old Port in the area of the Magazzini del Cotone, a short walk from the Aquarium and the Bigo, Genoa’s panoramic lift.
How tall is the Genovawheel?
The Genovawheel is 45 meters high, and offers extraordinary panoramic views, both of the city and its surroundings. It is one of the tallest “demountable” Ferris wheels in the world.
On the clearest days, visibility of tens of kilometers is achieved, although in case the sun is too glaring, only certain parts of the city can be seen.
How much does a ride on the Genoa Ferris wheel cost?
The price for a ride on the Genoa Ferris Wheel is €9 for adults, €5 for children ages 3 to 13, and free for infants ages 0 to 2. You can purchase tickets online by clicking here.
A minimum number of 2 people per cabin is required for safety reasons, and each cabin can accommodate up to 6 people.

A full Ferris wheel ride takes about 3 minutes.

A Ferris wheel ride (lasting about 3 minutes) consists of completing 3 full rides.
What are the nearby attractions?
The wheel is located in the Porto Antico area of Genoa; nearby attractions are as follows:
- Bigo panoramic elevator: 200m
- Aquarium of Genoa: 900m
- Galleon: 1.1km
- Galata Sea Museum: 1.7km
Where had the Ferris wheel been moved to?
It was initially placed at the Old Port, where it remained for over 5 years.
After that, it was moved to Viale Caviglia (in front of Genoa Brignole Station) and then dismantled in February 2022 and moved to Lake Garda.
As of December 1, 2022, it returned to Genoa, to the Magazzini del Cotone area, where it is currently in operation.
Why did they move the Ferris wheel in Genoa?
It had initially been moved to the gardens of Genoa Brignole but to no avail, as attendance had been very low. So it was moved elsewhere, eventually returning to the Old Port.
