foot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just to give you an example, it would take you about an hour to walk through it all, and during your walk, you would pass by the best attractions of the city and the most important<strong> points of interest in Genoa.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Staying in the <strong>historic center<\/strong> has its pros and cons, but in my opinion, it is the ideal choice if you want to<strong> visit Genoa<\/strong> on foot without the stress of having to use the car or public transport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The old town is the oldest part of the city (commonly called Old Town) and is enclosed by several gates and walls that surround it almost totally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You should know that you cannot enter the historic centre by car: it is, in fact, a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/discovergenoa.com\/ztl-in-genoa\/\">Limited Traffic Zone<\/a><\/strong> (ZTL), in which you enter only with a special permit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s definitely<strong> the best place to stay in Genoa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Hotel Recommendations:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are planning to choose <strong>accommodation in the historic center<\/strong>, I strongly recommend you to look for one that offers the possibility of parking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among these, I recommend:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a read on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The (non-historical) centre of Genoa<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" stay while staying in the center of Genoa but <strong>outside the historic center<\/strong>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>city centre is not very large<\/strong>, and you can visit it comfortably on foot or, if you wish, using public transport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can stay in the area of <strong>Genova Brignole<\/strong> and <strong>Piazza della Vittoria<\/strong>, and stay less than 5 minutes from the central Via XX Settembre (the shopping street) and Piazza De Ferrari (the central square).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These are all <strong>walking distances<\/strong>, to give you an idea of how close the main attractions of Genoa are to each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Hotel Recommendations:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The best hotels and
